Foreign trade turnover of goods in total and by countries in January-May 2024

Foreign trade turnover[1] in January - May 2024 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 627.2 bn, while in imports - PLN 609.2 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 18.1 bn, while in the same period of 2023 year amounted to PLN 24.1 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of last year exports decreased by 10.2%, and imports by 9.7%.

Exports expressed in USD amounted to 156.6 bn, while imports amounted to USD 152.1 bn (a decrease in exports of 2.5% and in imports of 1.9%). The positive balance reached the level of USD 4.6 bn, while in the same period of 2023 amounted to USD 5.6 bn.

Exports expressed in EUR amounted to 144.6 bn, while imports amounted to EUR 140.5 bn (a decrease in exports of 2.9% and in imports of 2.3%). The positive balance reached EUR 4.2 bn, compared to the positive balance of EUR 5.1 bn in the same period of 2023.
