Foreign trade turnover of goods in total and by countries in January 2024

Foreign trade turnover[1] in January 2024 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 121.9 bn, while in imports - PLN 115.7  bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 6.2 bn, while in the same period of 2023 year amounted to PLN 3.0 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of last year exports decreased by 12.0%, and imports by 14.6%.

Exports expressed in USD amounted to 30.8 bn, while imports amounted to USD 29.2 bn (a decrease in exports of 2.2% and in imports of 5.2%). The positive balance reached the level of USD 1.6 bn, while in the same period of 2023 amounted to USD 0.7 bn.

Exports expressed in EUR amounted to 28.1 bn, while imports amounted to EUR 26.7 bn (a decrease in exports of 5.2% and in imports of 8.0%). The positive balance reached EUR 1.4 bn, compared to the positive balance of EUR 0.6 bn in the same period of 2023.
