In the period January–June 2026, 3.2% more dwellings were completed compared to the same period last year. The number of dwellings in which construction began also increased (by 3.5%), as well as the number of dwellings for which permits were granted or which were registered with a construction project (by 18.9%).
According to the preliminary data, 94.9 thousand dwellings were completed in the period January–June 2026, i.e. by 3.2% more than in the corresponding period of 2025. Developers1 completed 57.4 thousand dwellings – by 0.7% more than a year ago, whereas private inves-tors completed – 34.1 thousand dwellings, i.e. by 4.2% more. Within these two forms of con-struction, 96.4% of the total number of new dwellings was completed. In other forms, 3.4 thousand dwellings were completed (2.3 thousand in the previous year).
The total useful floor area of newly completed dwellings amounted to 8.5 million m2, i.e. by 2.8% more than a year ago and its average value for 1 dwelling was 89.8 m2.
