Consumer prices according to the flash estimate in August 2025 increased by 2.8% (price index 102.8) compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, and as related to the previous month decreased by 0.1% (price index 99.9).

On the last day of March 2025, the population of employed persons in the national economy was 15 076.1 thousand, i.e. 0.1% fewer than in March 2024. Compared with the previous month, their number was almost the same.

In 2024, the number of practicing physicians was 141,193, dentists – 36,965, nurses – 219,881, midwives – 28,828 and physiotherapists – 62,087.

The amount of outlays on fixed assets for environmental protection in 2024 amounted to approx. PLN 15.1 billion (compared to PLN 18.2 billion in 2023), and outlays on fixed assets for water management reached the level of approx. PLN 3.6 billion (PLN 4.3 billion in 2023). In 2024, outlays on environmental protection and water management accounted for 0.42% and 0.10% of GDP, respectively (0.53% and 0.13% in 2023, respectively).

The information is the result of the Report on livestock slaughtering (R-09U). The reporting obligation covers all slaughterhouses conducting slaughter on livestock in Poland.

Intermodal transport allows to create modern transport chains that combine two or more modes of transport into one system. It is based on nodes representing the interconnection points of the various modes of transport involved in the transport of goods without changing the loading unit. The greater number of nodes (land and maritime terminals), the easier it is to access the connection network.

At the end of 2024, there were 4.8 thousand nurseries, 0.9 thousand children’s clubs and 2.2 thousand day carers providing in total 237.3 thousand places. In nurseries there were 165.8 thousand children, 14.9 thousand in children’s clubs and 11.3 thousand at day carers’.
