In December 2024 retail sales at constant prices were by 1.9% higher than the year before (against a decrease of 2.3% in December 2023). Compared with November 2024, an increase by 9.9% in retail sales was recorded. In the period of January-December 2024 sales increased y/y by 2.7% (against a decrease by 2.7% in corresponding period of 2023).

According to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was in December 2024 by 8.0% lower than in the same period of 2023 (an increase of 14.0% in the corresponding period of 2023) and by 30.6% higher compared to Novemebr 2024 (an increase of 28.7% in the corresponding period of 2023).

In January 2025, there was an improvement in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, syn-thetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was -15.1 which was by 1.6 p.p. higher in relation to last month.

Procurement prices of basic agricultural products increased in December 2024 in comparison with the previous month (by 4.7%) as well as while compared to the corresponding period of the last year (by 9.6%).

In 2024, there were less dwellings completed than the year before. Whereas the number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project as well as dwellings in which construction has begun increased.
