The matriculation exam (upper secondary school leaving examination) is conducted as the end of secondary school, and its results determines further education. It is taken by graduates of upper secondary schools, including general secondary and technical secondary schools.

The eighth-grader exam covers the knowledge and skills specified in the core curriculum for selected subjects taught in grades 1 through 8. The examination was conducted for the first time in academic year 2018/2019.

On the last day of June 2025, there were 1 099.5 thousand foreigners performing work in Poland, i.e. 6.5% more than in June 2024. Compared with the previous month, their number increased by 2.9%.

In the third quarter of 2025, there were 2 875 994 active enterprises in Poland. With regard to the kind of economic activity, the largest population were enterprises from section trade; repair of motor vehicles (17.2% of total). The largest number of active enterprises had their registered offices in the Mazowieckie voivodship (20.1% of total).

In 2024, the share of energy from renewable sources in gross final energy consumption amounted to 17.7%, which constitute an decrease of 1.0 percentage points compared to 2023. At the same time, the power sector recorded an increase of 4.6 percentage points in the share of electricity from renewable energy sources in gross final energy consumption compared to the previous year.

In 1-3 quarters of 2025, total revenues of surveyed enterprises amounted to 3,947.1 bn PLN and total costs of obtaining the revenues amounted to 3,756.6 bn PLN. Gross financial result amounted to 190.5 bn PLN.
