Statistics in focus Preliminary results of the National Population and Housing Census 2021

According to the preliminary results of the National Population and Housing Census 2021, the population of Poland amounted to 38179.8 thousand people. The number of population decreased by 0.9% compared to the results of the Census 2011. There were 15.2 million dwellings in Poland. The number of dwellings increased by 12.6% compared to the Census 2011.

Success of Polish statistics in the Open Data Inventory ranking

According to the Open Data Inventory (ODIN) ranking, assessing the coverage and openness of statistics produced by national statistical systems as published on the official website of the national statistical office, Statistics Poland moved up to the 2nd position among 187 national statistical offices around the world!

Statistics in focus Disabled people in 2021

At the end of 2021, the majority of disabled persons working in medium and large enter-prises were employed in the private sector (75.2%). More than half of employed disabled persons worked in the section administrative and support service activities (102.3 thou-sand) and in the section manufacturing (79.1 thousand).
