Forest accounts in Poland in 2022
According to the methodology of the European Forest Accounts (EFA), the value of gross output of the forestry and logging division in Poland in 2022 amounted to PLN 36.6 billion, which was an increase in comparison with the previous year by 41.6% (in current prices). The high increase in the value of gross output, like in the value of forest land and in the value of forest stands, was mainly due to the rise in timber prices.

Poland on the way to SDGs. Report 2024. Children in the context of sustainable development
The share of children in the general population of both Poland and the whole world is decreasing. In Poland, the percentage of children and adolescents in the whole population is much lower than the world’s average. According to the UN data, the share of children and young adults (aged 0-24) in the global population decreased from 45% in 2010 to 41% in 2023. In the same period, the share of the youngest population in Poland fell from 29% to 25%.

Accidents at work in January-September 2024 - preliminary data
45,660 persons injured in accidents at work were reported in January-September 2024, by 0.3% fewer than in January-September 2023. The number of injured persons per 1,000 employed persons (the incidence rate) increased from 3.22 to 3.28.

Financial results of cultural institutions in the period January–September 2024
The financial results of cultural institutions for the three quarters of 2024 were higher compared to those obtained in the same period of the previous year. Total revenues increased by 14.5% during this time, total costs increased by 14.6% and capital expenditures decreased by 5.3%.

Foreign trade turnover of goods in total and by countries in January-October 2024
Foreign trade turnover in January - October 2024 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 1 261.6 bn, while in imports - PLN 1 251.6 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 10.1 bn, while in the same period of 2023 year amounted to PLN 45.5 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of last year exports decreased by 7.3%, and imports by 4.9%.

Consumer prices in November 2024, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 4,7% (with an increase of prices of services – by 7,2% and goods – by 3,8%). Selected issues of production of industial products – data for 2023
The regional specialisation of sold production of industrial products was determined based on the value of the location quotient LQ, which indicates the level of regional specialisation in a given voivodship relative to the national level. For each voivodship, PKWiU (Polish Classification of Products and Services) sections with the highest LQ values were identified.

Border traffic and expenses made by foreigners in Poland and by Poles abroad in the 3rd quarter of 2024
In the 3rd quarter of 2024, there was a decrease in border traffic of foreigners by 2.3% and an increase of Poles by 2.6%, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The values of goods and services purchased in this period by foreigners in Poland and goods and services purchased by Poles abroad were higher than in the 3rd quarter of 2023 by 6.3% and 8.4% respectively.

Business tendency in manufacturing, construction, trade and services - December 2024
Both seasonally and non-seasonally adjusted general business climate indicators for most of presented kinds of activities are at a lower or similar level as compared to the ones presented in November. In relation to the previous month, non-seasonally adjusted business tendency assessments have deteriorated mostly in wholesale trade as well as transportation and storage section, while situation in accommodation and food service activities section positively stands out, where business tendency is better than in November. In majority of studied areas, month-to-month level of "diagnostic" and "forecasting" components does not change or deteriorates.
