The publication includes information on the scope and functioning forms of economic tools and means in undertakings targeted at environmental protection and water management, as well as information on environmental economic accounts, which are a statistical system bringing together economic and environmental information.

The main source of the data are materials based on the Statistics Poland surveys and reports. Moreover, in order to present the multi–aspect of economic  aspects  of  environmental protection problems as comprehensively and objectively as possible the accessible reports of ministries and other administrative data have been used.

Excel file "Chapter 1 -7 Economic aspects of environmental protection" has been supplemented with Table 10A regarding outlays on fixed assets for environmental protection by directions of investing, sectors and the Polish Classification of Activities in 2023 (current prices).
