Consumer prices in May 2026 increased by 3.1% compared with the corresponding month of the previous year (with an increase of prices of ser-vices by 5.7% and goods by 2.1%). As related to the previous month consumer prices decreased by 0.3% (of which goods by 0.4% and services by 0.2%).

Foreign trade turnover in January–April 2026 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 532.8 bn, while in imports - PLN 540.1 bn. The negative balance reached the level of PLN 7.3 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of last year 2025, exports increased by 3.3% and imports by 2.9%.

In the first quarter of 2026, there were 2 872 113 active enterprises in Poland. With regard to the kind of economic activity, the largest population were enterprises from section trade; repair of motor vehicles (16.7% of total). The largest number of active enterprises had their registered offices in the Mazowieckie voivodship (20.1% of total).

In Poland, at the end of Quarter 1 2026, there were 16.7% more job vacancies than at the end of Quarter 4 2025 and the job vacancy rate increased by 0.1 percentage points (pp) and amounted to 0.81%.

In the first quarter of 2026, total revenues of cultural institutions increased by 9.1% compared to 2025, while total costs – by 9.9%. The financial result was 1.6% higher than a year earlier. Investment outlays increased by 6.7%.

17,084 persons injured in accidents at work were reported in the first quarter of 2026 (19.3% more than in the first quarter of 2025). The incidence rate (the number of injured persons per 1,000 employed persons) increased from 1.04 to 1.24 per year.

In 2025 blood donors amounted to 651.8 thousand (increase by 0.1% than in previous year). They donated 1,591.9 thousand blood donations and its components which is 43.5 thousand more donations than in 2024.

On the last day of December 2025, there were 1 141.1 thousand foreigners performing work in Poland, i.e. 7.2% more than on the last day of December 2024. Compared with the previous month, their number increased by 0.3%.
