On the last day of March 2026, 1 476.9 thousand persons in Poland were performing work only under contracts of mandate and related contracts, i.e. 5.9% (82.0 thousand persons) more than on 31 March 2025. Compared with 31 December 2025, their number decreased by 1.4% (by 20.9 thousand persons).

In the second quarter of 2026, there were 2 896 481 active enterprises in Poland. With regard to the kind of economic activity, the largest population were enterprises from section trade; repair of motor vehicles (16.5% of total). The largest number of active enterprises had their registered offices in the Mazowieckie voivodship (20.2% of total).

In the first half of 2026, total revenues of cultural institutions increased by 8.3% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, and total costs – by 9.0%. The gross financial result was higher by 1.2% than in the previous year. Investment outlays of cultural institutions increased by 25.2%.

33,081 persons injured in accidents at work were reported in the first half of 2026 (7.9% more than in the first half of 2025). The incidence rate (the number of injured persons per 1,000 employed persons) increased from 2.23 to 2.41 per year.

In Poland, at the end of Quarter 2 2026, there were 1.5% fewer job vacancies than at the end of Quarter 1 2026 and the job vacancy rate decreased by 0.01 percentage points (pp) and amounted to 0.80%.

In July and August 2026, 10.0 million tourists stayed at tourist accommodations in Poland. Compared to 2025, the number of tourists increased by 2.5%. The number of overnight stays amounted 29.4 million, an increase of 3.7% compared to the same period in 2025.

On the last day of March 2026, there were 1 152.7 thousand foreigners performing work in Poland, i.e. 8.0% (85.7 thousand) more than at the end of March 2025. Compared with 28 February 2026, their number increased by 1.8% (20.2 thousand).
