The information is the result of the Report on livestock slaughtering (R-09U). The reporting obligation covers all slaughterhouses conducting slaughter on livestock in Poland.

At the end of 2025, there were 5.1 thousand nurseries, 1.1 thousand children’s clubs and 2.4 thousand day carers providing in total 256.2 thousand places. In nurseries there were 163.5 thousand children, 16.8 thousand in children’s clubs and 12.4 thousand at day carers’.

On the last day of March 2026, the population of employed persons in the national economy was 15 070.1 thousand and compared with 31 March 2025 it was at a similar level. Compared with the last day of February 2026, their number increased by 0.3%.

In 2024, the turnover of enterprises covered by the structural business statistics survey amounted to PLN 8,549.8 billion, compared to PLN 8,543.6 billion in 2023. As in previous years, the largest share of total turnover was concentrated in industry (33.8% of total turnover, compared to 36.7% in 2023).

In the second quarter of 2026, economically active persons accounted for 58.7% of the population aged 15-89. This share did not change compared to the first quarter of 2026, but increased by 0.4 pp. compared to the second quarter of 2025.

In the 1st half of 2026 gross financial result of the surveyed non-financial enterprises was higher by 29.1% comparing to a year earlier. The economic and financial indicators improved. Investment outlays were higher by 13.7% than in the previous year (when there was a decrease by 1.2%).

In July 2026 retail sales at constant prices were by 3.9% higher than the year before (against an increase of 4.8% in July 2025). Compared with June 2026, there was an increase by 2.2% in retail sales.
