Compared to the previous month, in August 2026, general business climate indicators for most of presented types of activity incl. construction, wholesale trade, information and communication point at stabilisation of the economy. Slight improvement is observed only in transportation and storage section, while significant deterioration is noted in accommodation and food service activities section.

In July 2026, sold production of industry was by 5.1% higher than in July 2025 (when an increase was recorded by 3.0%), whereas in comparison with June 2026, it decreased by 1.8%. In the period January-July of 2026, sold production of industry was by 3.6% higher than in the corresponding period of 2025 (which saw an increase by 2.2%).

According to preliminary data, the prices of sold production of industry in July 2026 increased both compared to July 2025 – by 2.8%, to the previous month – by 0.6%.

According to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out domestically was in July 2026 lower by 2.4% an annual. Compared to June 2026 a decrease was noted by 7.6%.

In the period January–July 2026, 3.2% more dwellings were completed compared to the same period last year. The number of dwellings in which construction began also increased (by 3.3%), as well as the number of dwellings for which permits were granted or which were registered with a construction project (by 15.7%).

According to preliminary data, in July 2026 the prices of construction and assembly production increased both compared to July 2025 (by 6.2%), as well as to June 2026 (by 1.1%).

In July 2026, the average paid employment in the enterprise sector was 0.1% higher than in June this year, whilst compared with July 2025 it was 0.8% lower.

In August 2026, consumer sentiment moods deteriorated, both regarding the current and future situation (compared to the previous month).

According to preliminary data, in May 2026 services production was higher by 6.9% than a year before (at that time, it was recorded an increase of 6.7%), and in relation to April 2026 increased by 0.8%.
