In September 2025 retail sales at constant prices were by 6.4% higher than the year before (against a decrease of 3.0% in September 2024). Compared with August 2025, a decrease by 2.7% in retail sales was recorded. In the period of January-September 2025 sales increased y/y by 3.9% (against an increase by 2.6% in the corresponding period of 2024).

In October 2025, consumer sentiment moods deteriorated (compared to the previous month), both regarding the current and future situation. The current consumer confidence indicator, synthetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was minus 10.9 which was by 2.6 p.p. lower in relation to last month.

Procurement prices of basic agricultural products decreased in September 2025 in comparison with the previous month (by 0.7%), while compared to the corresponding period of the last year, they increased (by 9.8%).

In October, both seasonally and non-seasonally adjusted general business climate indicators for all presented types of activity point at stabilisation or deterioration of the economy. As compared to September, noticeably worse assessments in this field are noted by entities operating in accommodation and food service activities section.

According to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out domestically was in September 2025 higher by 0.2% than in the same period of 2024 and by 20.6% compared to August 2025.

According to the EDP notification, in 2024 the general government deficit was equal 236 562 mln zl (6.5% of GDP), while the general government debt amounted to 2 012 640 mln zl (55.1% of GDP). Statistics Poland presents the general government deficit and debt data for years 2021-2024 developed as part of October EDP notification.

In the period January–September 2025, there was slightly fewer dwellings completed compared to the same period in the previous year. The number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project as well as dwellings in which construction has begun also decreased (by 13.4% and 8.5%, respectively).

In 2025, the percentage of individuals aged 16–74 ordering or purchasing goods or services over the Internet in the last 12 months amounted to 69.7%, that is, by 2.3 p.p. more than in the previous year.
