2018 is the year marked by three momentous anniversaries associated with events that happened exactly 100 years ago: Poland's regaining of independence, the Wielkopolska uprising and the establishment of the Statistics Poland. To celebrate these events, the Statistical Office in Poznań has prepared the publication entitled “Statistical Atlas of Wielkopolskie Voivodship”, a comprehensive overview illustrating social changes and economic development of the voivodship.

It describes dwellings completed by forms of construction (cooperative, company, municipal, individual, intended for sale or rental, and public building society), an average duration of construction of residential buildings, cubic volume of residential buildings completed, methods of erecting buildings, and buildings by the number of floors. The number of permits issued for the construction of dwellings and new residential buildings, the number of dwellings started, dwellings under construction, permits for the construction of new non-residential buildings and other construction facilities are also included.

Social services provided by non-profit organizations were characterized in the chapters presenting the following fields of activity: social assistance and childcare, social and vocational integration services, healthcare, education, culture and sport. In each chapter, there were considered two perspectives – a cross-sectoral and an inner-sectoral one. In the process of the preparation of this publication, there were used data from the research of associations, foundation, business and professional associations, faith-based charities carrying out on SOF-1 forms as well as data from other surveys of Polish official statistics and administrative data coming from public institutions.
