According to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was in May 2021 by 4.7% higher than a year before (against a decrease by 5.1% the year before) and by 10.2% higher compared with April 2021 (against an increase by 0.8% the year before).

In the first five months of 2021, there were more dwellings completed than the year before. The number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project as well as dwellings in which construction has begun also increased.

In most of presented kinds of activities general business climate indicator in June is at a higher level than in the previous month. In the majority of researched areas improvement of “diagnostic” and “forecast” components has been reported (most significantly in accommodation and food service activities section). The most positive1 indicator is noted by information and communication section, whereas the most pessimistic one by construction section.

According to preliminary data, in May 2021 the prices of construction and assembly production in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year increased by 3.3%, and in comparison with April 2021 - by 0.5%.

In May 2021, sold production of industry was by 29.8% higher than in May 2020, when a decrease was recorded by 16.9% as compared to the previous year, whereas in comparison with April 2021, it decreased by 0.8%.

According to preliminary data, in May 2021 the prices of sold production of industry increased compared to April 2021 by 0.8 % and compared to that recorded in the corresponding month of the previous year - by 6.5%. According to preliminary data, the prices of sold production of industry in May 2021 were higher by 0.8% compared to April 2021. Prices growth was recorded in all sections of the industry.

Procurement prices of basic agricultural products increased in May 2021 both in comparison with the previous month (by 1.3%) as well as while compared to the corresponding month of last year (by 16.0%).
