Procurement prices of basic agricultural products decreased in May 2020 in comparison with the previous month (by 3.3%) as well as while compared to May 2019 (by 7.0%).

In May 2020 retail sales at constant prices were by 7.7% lower than the year before (against a growth of 5.6% in May 2019).

In June general business climate indicator is less negative than in May in most of presented kinds of activities, although observed improvement of current assessments (“diagnosis”) is lower than of expectations (“forecast”). Only current assessments formulated by entities operating in financial and insurance activities sector are less favourable than in May.

According to preliminary data in May 2020 the prices of construction and assembly production in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year were higher by 2.6% and in comparison with April 2020 - by 0.2%.

In May 2020, sold production of industry was by 17.0% lower than in May 2019, when the growth was recorded by 7.7% as compared to the previous year, whereas in comparison with April 2020, it increased by 10.1%. In the period January-May of 2020, sold production of industry was by 7.9% lower than in the corresponding period of 2019, which saw a 7.0% increase.

According to preliminary data in May 2020 the prices of sold production of industry remained at a level similar to the one recorded in April this year. However, the prices decreased compared to the same month of the previous year by 1.5%.

Average monthly wage and salary in enterprise sector excluding payments from profit in May 2020 was 5118.18 PLN.
