Statistics Poland informs that the price index of durable non-foodstuff goods in the 2nd quarter of 2020 as related to the 1st quarter of 2020 amounted to 100.5 (price increase of 0.5%).

Statistics Poland informs that the price index of consumer goods and services in the 2nd quarter of 2020 as related to the 1st quarter of 2020 amounted to 100.3 (price increase of 0.3%).

In 2019, there were 70 sports associations in Po-land. Compared to 2018, the number of coaches and judges registered in the Polish sports associ-ations increased, whereas the number of Polish representatives decreased. Physical education organisations associated 2.2 thousand units. In relation to the previous year, both the number of units as well as the number of members and per-sons practising sports in these organizations de-creased.

Statistics Poland informs that the price index of consumer goods and services in June 2020 as related to May 2020 amounted to 100.6 (price increase of 0.6%).

Consumer prices in June 2020 compared with the corresponding month of the previous year increased by 3,3% (with an increase of prices of services – by 7,4% and goods – by 1,8%). As related to the previous month consumer prices increased by 0,6% (with an increase of prices of services – by 1,3% and goods – by 0,3%).

Foreign trade turnover in the January - May this year according to exports at current prices amounted to PLN 393.3 bn, while imports amounted to PLN 384.3 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 9.0 bn, while in the same period of 2019 year amounted to minus PLN 0.2 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of the 2019, both exports and imports decreased by 7.4% and 9.6% respectively.

As of the end of 2019, there were 7,881 public libraries, including 5,272 libraries branches. Public libraries carried 875 branches for children and youths and 995 libraries points. During the year 5,983.7 thousand readers borrowed 102.7 million volumes of collection.

The value of sold production of own products by producers in 2019 increased in relation to the previous year by 3.4% and amounted to 1 212 704 640.8 thousand PLN.
