Poland's energy efficiency increased by 0.7% in 2024 compared to 2023

As of 31 December 2025, 1,322.8 thousand students were enrolled in higher education institutions in Poland, 42.7 thousand more than in the previous year. 306.6 thousand graduates received diplomas in the 2024/25 academic year, 14.6 thousand more than in 2023/24.

According to preliminary data, in March 2026 services production was higher by 11.0% than a year before (at that time, it was recorded an increase of 3.2%), and in relation to February 2026 increased by 10.7%.

On the last day of December 2025, 1 497.7 thousand persons in Poland were performing work only under contracts of mandate and related contracts, i.e. 4.8% more than on 31 December 2024. Compared with 30 September 2025, their number decreased by 0.3%.

Consumer prices in May 2026 increased by 3.1% compared with the corresponding month of the previous year (with an increase of prices of ser-vices by 5.7% and goods by 2.1%). As related to the previous month consumer prices decreased by 0.3% (of which goods by 0.4% and services by 0.2%).

Foreign trade turnover in January–April 2026 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 532.8 bn, while in imports - PLN 540.1 bn. The negative balance reached the level of PLN 7.3 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of last year 2025, exports increased by 3.3% and imports by 2.9%.

In the first quarter of 2026, there were 2 872 113 active enterprises in Poland. With regard to the kind of economic activity, the largest population were enterprises from section trade; repair of motor vehicles (16.7% of total). The largest number of active enterprises had their registered offices in the Mazowieckie voivodship (20.1% of total).

In Poland, at the end of Quarter 1 2026, there were 16.7% more job vacancies than at the end of Quarter 4 2025 and the job vacancy rate increased by 0.1 percentage points (pp) and amounted to 0.81%.

In the first quarter of 2026, total revenues of cultural institutions increased by 9.1% compared to 2025, while total costs – by 9.9%. The financial result was 1.6% higher than a year earlier. Investment outlays increased by 6.7%.
