Housing conditions in Poland according to the resultsof the National Population and Housing Census 2021

Cattle population as of December 2023
Cattle population in December 2023 reached 6,435.5 thousand heads and was lower by 0.2% in comparison to December of last year. The decrease in the total number of cattle herd resulted from a decrease in the population of all heard age groups except cattle 2 years or over.

The publication presents information on enterprise groups operating in Poland by type, size and country of location of the ultimate parent unit (global group head). Pig population as of December 2023
According to preliminary data, the population of pigs* in December 2023 was 9769.7 thousand heads showing an increase of 1.5% compared to the analogical period last year. The reduction in numbers occurred in one groups of pigs, in particular in the fattening pigs, where it was 2.1%.

At the end of 2022, 320 gminas (i.e., 12.9% of all in Poland) allocated a sum in the gmina’s budget for the participatory budget. In gminas with a population exceeding 50,000 resi-dents, 85.6% had a participatory budget.

Adult Education in 2022
In 2022, 54.0% of people in Poland aged 18-69 declared that they acquired knowledge in various ways. 48.3% of them (11.4 million people) learned informally from co-workers, friends, family members or on their own. Education in the school system or in higher education (formal education) covered 2.3 million people, i.e. 9.2% of the surveyed population.

As at the last day of August 2023, there were 15 102.2 thousand employed persons in the national economy.
The average age and median age of employed persons in the national economy were similar. The average age was 42.6 years and the median age was 42.0 years.
