In 2022, the extent of economic poverty in Poland remained at a similar level as in 2021, although the average material situation of households worsened in real terms, due, among other things, to high inflation. As in the previous year, the extreme poverty rate was less than 5%, the relative poverty rate was about 12% and the legal poverty rate was about 7%.

The survey covered 82 enterprises conducting leasing activity in 2022. Throughout 2022, the surveyed enterprises concluded 546 thousand new lease agreements for 668 thousand of items (assets) leased. The value of concluded contracts in 2022 amounted to PLN 68.4 billion.

Consumer prices according to the flash estimate in June 2023, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 11,5% (price index 111,5), and as related to the previous month remained at the same level (price index 100,0).
