In all of presented kinds of activities general business climate indicator in January this year is at a level that is similar or lower than in the previous month. In most of researched areas deterioration of “forecast” components is reported, whereas “diagnostic” ones decrease or do not change.

In December 2021, average paid employment in the enterprise sector was higher by 0.5% y/y and amounted to 6361.6 thousand full-time jobs. In comparison to the previous month average paid employment remained at the similar level (100.0%).
Average gross wages and salaries in December 2021 were higher by 11.2% y/y and amounted to 6644.39 PLN. In comparison to November 2021 average gross wages and salaries increased by 10.3%.

According to preliminary data, in December 2021, construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was by 3.1% higher than in the corresponding period of 2020 (an increase of 3.4% the year before) and by 22.9% higher compared to November 2021 (an increase of 34.4% the year before).

In December 2021, sold production of industry was by 16.7% higher than in December 2020, when an increase was recorded by 11.1%, whereas in comparison with November 2021, it decreased by 2.9%. In the period January-December of 2021, sold production of industry was by 14.9% higher than in the corresponding period of 2020, which saw a decrease by 1.0%.
