In August 2021, 3.9 million tourists were
accommodated in tourist accommodation
establishments and 12.7 million overnight stays
were provided for them. Compared to August
2020, it was more by 20.1% and 18.8%
respectively. An increase in the number of tourists
was also recorded in September 2021, when the
number of tourists accommodated was 36.5%
higher and the number of overnight stays
provided 28.1% higher.

The demand for labour in the third quarter of 2021
At the end of the third quarter of 2021, there were 153.5 thousand job vacancies, 68.5% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The job vacancy rate was 1.25%. In the third quarter of 2021, there were 2.3 newly created jobs per liquidated job.

The impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on selected elements of the labour market in Poland in the third quarter of 2021
The Labour Demand Survey is conducted using the representative method on a quarterly ba-sis. According to the scope of the survey, it covers notional economy entities and their local units employing at least 1 person. The survey shows that at the end of the third quarter of 2021, the number of occupied jobs was almost the same as at the end of the third quarter of 2020.

43,600 persons injured in accidents at work were
reported in January-September 2021, by 8.6% more than
in January-September 2020. The number of injured
persons per 1,000 employed persons (the incidence rate)

Foreign trade turnover of goods in total and by countries in January-October 2021
Foreign trade turnover1 in January – October 2021 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 1 059.1 bn, while in imports - PLN 1 054.5 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 4.6 bn, while in the same period of 2020 year amounted to PLN 37.7 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of 2020 exports increased by 22.5%, while imports by 27.5%.

Consumer prices in November 2021, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 7,8% (with an increase of prices of goods by 8,1% and services by 6,6%).

The results of the labour force survey (LFS) presenting the average data for the quarter indicate that in the third quarter of 2021, economically active persons accounted for 58.2% of the population aged 15-89 years. The indicator increased as compared with the second quarter of 2021 by 0.6 percentage point.

In November 2021, sold production of industry was by 15.2% higher than in November 2020, when an increase was recorded by 5.4% as compared to the previous year, whereas in comparison with October 2021, it increased by 5.3%. According to preliminary data, in November 2021, construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was by 12.7% higher than in the corresponding period of 2020 (a decrease of 4.9% the year before) and by 8.9% higher compared to October 2021 (an increase of 0.6% the year before).

In November 2021 retail sales[1] at constant prices were by 12.1% higher than the year before (against a decrease of 5.3% in November 2020). Compared with October 2021 retail sales decreased by 1.0%.

30 years of Euroregion Nysa - selected statistical information

The presented to you the publication prepared on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the creation of the Euroregion Nysa - the first Euroregion created in Poland and also in Central-Eastern Europe. The aim of the publication is to provide cross-sectional statistical information illustrating the state of social development and selected economic issues in the Polish-Czech-German border area, which is involved in co-operation within the Euroregion Nysa, and to show the tendencies of changes of the described phenomena in the years 1991-2020.
The publication is a result of cooperation between statisticians from the Czech Statistical Office in Liberec, the National Statistical Office of Saxony in Kamenz and the Statistical Office in Wrocław, who form the working group "Statistics" within the structures of the Euroregion Nysa.
The main part of the publication consists of statistical tables which present information concerning, inter alia, demography, housing, medical care, unemployment and tourism. Numerical data are preceded by a commentary and supplemented with graphic illustrations in the form of cartograms and charts.
