Occupancy of tourist accommodation establishments in 2019
In 2019, 35.7 million tourists were accommodated in tourist accommodation establishments, with 93.3 million nights spent. Compared to 2018, it was more by 5.2% and 5.0%, respectively. The occupancy rate of bed places in all tourist accommodation establishments in 2019 ammounted to 40.6% and was higher by 0.5 percentage point compared to the previous year.

amounted to 14,6 bn PLN, ie. 12,2% y/y. The balance sheet
total increased by 5,6% y/y and amounted to

Foreign trade turnover of goods in total and by countries in January-February 2020
Foreign trade turnover after two months this year according to exports at current prices amounted to PLN 169.5 bn, while imports amounted to PLN 164.2 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 5.3 bn, while in the same period of 2019 year amounted to minus PLN 1.4 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of the 2019, exports increased by 3.2%, and imports decreased by 0.8%.

As of the end of December 2019, 1.5 million entities of the national economy located in the border areas in Poland were entered in the REGON register, which constituted 33.4% of the total number of entities in Poland (4.5 million). In comparison with 2018, in the analysed zone the number of entities increased by 40.5 thousand, i.e. by 2.8% (in Poland by 3.3%), and in reference to 2012 an increase of 137.5 thousand - i.e. by 10.0% (in Poland by 13.4%) was recorded.
