In the first three quarters of 2023, there were less dwellings completed than the year before. The number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project as well as dwellings in which construction has begun also decreased.

In September 2023 retail sales at constant prices were by 0.3% lower than the year before (against an increase of 4.1% in September 2022). Compared with August 2023, also a decline by 0.3% in retail sales was recorded. In the period of January-September 2023 sales decreased y/y by 3.4% (in 2022 a growth of 6.8%).

Procurement prices of basic agricultural products increased in September 2023 in comparison with the previous month (by 0.2%), while compared to the corresponding period of the last year decreased (by 18.2%).

In October the assessments of general business climate indicator in most of presented kinds of activities are at a slightly lower or similar level as compared to the ones present-ed in September. However, a different trend can be observed in seasonally adjusted data, where in most of areas the indicator is higher than last month. In all areas, except for retail trade, the indicator is below the long-term mean. In majority of the areas, month-to-month level of "diagnostic" components remains unchanged, whereas "forecasting" ones do not change or deteriorate.

According to preliminary data, in September 2023 the prices of construction and assembly production in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year increased by 8.9%, and in comparison with August 2023 by 0.7%.
