Price index of investment goods for the four quarters of 2023 as compared to the four quarters of 2022 was 103,1 (prices increased by 3,1%).

In the 4th quarter of 2023, there was an increase in border traffic of foreigners by 2.6% and of Poles by 3.8%, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The values of goods and services purchased in this period by foreigners in Poland and goods and services purchased by Poles abroad were higher than in the 4th quarter of 2022 by 9.3% and 12.3% respectively.

In 2023 financial results of the surveyed non-financial enterprises were lower comparing to those obtained a year earlier. The economic and financial indicators deteriorated. Investment outlays were higher by 10.2% than those recorded in 2022 (when there was an increase by 5.9%).

Procurement prices of basic agricultural products decreased in February 2024 in comparison with the previous month (by 0.2%) as well as while compared to the corresponding period of the last year (by 15.4%).

In March the assessments of general business climate indicator in most of presented kinds of activities are at a similar or higher level as compared to the ones presented in February. As regards seasonally adjusted data, the indicator in most cases is close to the one that was noted a month ago. Apart from retail trade along with accommodation and food service activities section, in the rest of areas the indicator is below the long-term mean . In majority of studied areas, month-to-month level of "diagnostic" components does not change or deteriorates, whereas "forecasting" ones improve.

In February 2024 retail sales at constant prices were by 6.1% higher than the year before (against a decrease of 5.0% in February 2023). Compared with January 2024, a decrease by 0.9% in retail sales was recorded. In the period of January-February 2024 sales increased y/y by 4.6% (against a decrease by 1.9% in corresponding period of 2023).
