Seasonal adjustment - Average paid employment and average monthly gross wages and salaries

The information contains the results of a preliminary estimate of yields and harvests of cereals, rape and turnip rape, ground vegetables and fruit, as well as of the first swath of meadow grasses and an assessment of the condition of potato and sugar beet plantations, developed on the basis of expert opinions of Statistics Poland's (from the municipal level) carried out in early July on the basis of inspections of fields, meadows and orchards.

Consumer prices according to the flash estimate in July 2026 increased by 3.0% (price index 103.0) compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, and as related to the previous month increased by 0.8% (price index 100.8).

On the last day of February 2026, the population of employed persons in the national economy was 15 019.5 thousand, i.e. 0.4% fewer than on 28 February 2025. Compared with the last day of January 2026, their number increased by 0.2%.

In 2025 (final data) foreign trade turnover in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 1 563.6, while in imports to PLN 1 594.5 bn. The negative balance reached the level of PLN 31.0 bn. In comparison to the corresponding year 2024, exports increased by 2.6% and imports by 4.8%.

In 2025, fire brigades intervened in 483.2 thousand events, of which 316.3 thousand related to local threats, 117.3 thousand – fires and 49.6 thousand – false alarms. Water life rescue services carried out 2 445 rescue operations in which 1 578 drawning persons were saved. The Mountain Volunteer Rescue Service carried out 2 744 rescue operations, encompassing 2 952 persons, while the Tatra Volunteer Rescue Service intervened 1 098 times, saving 1 256 persons.

The layout and total length of inland waterways in Poland have remained largely unchanged for many years. In 2025, the total volume of goods transported by Polish inland waterways operators by inland waterways remained at a level comparable to the previous year.
