Family benefits in 2022

In 2022, PLN 11.4 billion was allocated to support families in the form of family benefits. PLN 1.2 billion was spent on social security and health insurance contributions. In addition, PLN 3.5 billion was paid out from the family care capital, and PLN 1.4 billion under the "Good Start" programme. The Large Family Card was held by 1.5 million families. The total amount of alimony fund benefits paid was nearly PLN 1 billion. Under the government's "Family 500 plus" programme, PLN 41.9 billion was transferred for child-raising benefits.

Family benefits paid to Ukrainian citizens in 2022

In 2022, PLN 130.5 million was allocated to support Ukrainian citizens in the form of family benefits, which accounted for 1.1% of the total amount of family benefits paid to both Polish and Ukrainian citizens. 64.4% was paid for the payment of family allowances with supplements. The care capital in the amount of PLN 97.2 million was also paid, and under the government programme "Family 500+" PLN 1737.1 million was allocated for the child-raising benefit.

In 2022, revenue of budgets of local government units in Opolskie Voivodship increased slower than expenditure. Budgets of these units closed collectively with a deficit. Deficit was achieved in all types of local government units, in which the highest in relation to total revenue was noted in the city with a powiat status – Opole.

Economic Activity of Population in Opolskie Voivodship in the 2nd quarter of 2023

Quarterly information about labour market was compiled on the basis of generalised results of the representative Labour Force Survey (LFS), carried out in the 2nd quarter of 2023, compared to the results of these surveys from the previous quarter and corresponding periods of 2022 and 2015. The study contains information about i.a. economic activity level of population by demographic and social characteristics, employed and economically inactive persons. The study takes into account the recalculated LFS results for the years 2015–2020, according to changes introduced from 2021 in the definitions of main categories of persons on the labour market (the applicable definitions are included in the publication Labour force survey in Poland).

Budgets of local government units in Mazowieckie Voivodship in 2022

Local government units (JST) obtained revenue by 2.9% higher than in 2021. At the same time, expenditure increased by 10.3%. The result of budgets of local government units amounted to minus PLN 629.8 million compared to PLN 3 162.1 million in the previous year. The ratio of the deficit to total income was at the level of 1.1%.
