At the end of the second quarter of 2023, there were 113.2 thousand job vacancies in Poland (1.5% fewer than at the end of the first quarter of the current year). The number of job vacancies decreased the most on a year-over-year basis in the Financial and insurance activities section. The job vacancy rate remained at the same level as in the previous quarter (0.90%).

As at the end of August 2023 the REGON register included 5 099.9 thous. of national economy entities, i.e. by 0.3% more than a month before. The number of newly registered entities in August amounted to 32.0 thous.

28,400 persons injured in accidents at work were reported in the first half of 2023, by 1.8% more than in the first half of 2022. The number of injured persons per 1,000 employed persons (the incidence rate) increased from 1.89 to 1.99.

In the second quarter of 2023, the producer prices for business services increased compared to the previous quarter by 1.3% and compared to the second quarter of 2022 by 8.0%.

At the end of March 2023, there were 783.3 thousand pensioners (old-age pensioners and other pensioners) employed in the national economy, 50.5% of whom were women.
