Accidents at work in the first half of 2023 - preliminary data

28,400 persons injured in accidents at work were reported in the first half of 2023, by 1.8% more than in the first half of 2022. The number of injured persons per 1,000 employed persons (the incidence rate) increased from 1.89 to 1.99.
In the first half of 2023, 57 persons were injured in fatal accidents, while 127 persons sustained injuries in serious accidents (decreased of 19.7% and 4.5% respectively). The largest number of victims were recorded in accidents at work with other effects – 28,216 (a 1.9% increased compared of the first half 2022). 93 persons were injured while performing remote work or telework.
