The demand for labour in the second quarter of 2022
At the end of the second quarter of 2022, there were 149.3 thousand job vacancies in Poland, 4.5% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. Over the year, the number of newly created jobs decreased (by 6.8%), whereas the number of jobs liquidated increased (by 12.6%). In the second quarter of 2022, there were 2.1 newly created jobs per liquidated job.

Accidents at work in the first half of 2022 - preliminary data
27,900 persons injured in accidents at work were reported in the first half of 2022, by 2.6% more than in 2021. The number of injured persons per 1,000 employed persons decreased (the incidence rate) from 2.01 in the first half of 2021 to 1.89 in the first half of 2022.

Foreign trade turnover of goods in total and by countries in January-July 2022
Foreign trade turnover in January - July 2022 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 893.1 bn, while in imports - PLN 948.3 bn. The negative balance reached the level of PLN 55.2 bn, while in the same period of 2021 year was positive and amounted to PLN 15.7 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of 2021 exports increased by 21.2%, while imports by 31.5%.

In August 2022, sold production of industry was by 10.9% higher than in August 2021, when an increase was recorded by 13.0% as compared to the previous year, whereas in comparison with July 2022, it increased by 0.7%. In the period January-August of 2022, sold production of industry was by 12.9% higher than in the
corresponding period of 2021, which saw an increase by 16.4%.
