According to the EDP notification, in 2023 the general government deficit was equal 173 832 mln zl (5,1% of GDP), while the general government debt amounted to 1 691 148 mln zl (49,6% of GDP).

In April 2024, there was an improvement in the current consumer moods with a simultaneous deterioration in future consumer moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, synthetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was -11.5a which was by 0.8 p.p. higher in relation to last month.
