At the end of 2023, most (81.2%) of the surveyed enterprises with 10 or more persons employed performed business functions only internally in own enterprise. The phenomenon of external sourcing concerned 18.8% of the surveyed enterprises, most of which (87.9%) contracted out functions only to other domestic enterprises. Business functions abroad were contracted out mainly to European Union countries.

Statistics Poland, thanks to the use of administrative data sources, has broadened the scope and increased the frequency of information on employed persons in the national economy.

On the last day of January 2025, the population of employed persons in the national economy was 15 048.3 thousand, i.e. 0.1% fewer than in January 2024. Compared with the previous month, their number decreased by 0.8%.

In the 1st quarter of 2025, the border traffic of foreigners remained at the same level as the previous year, while that of Poles increased by 3.4% year-on-year. The values of goods and services purchased by foreigners in Poland and goods and services purchased by Poles abroad during this period were higher than in the 1st quarter of 2024 by 6.2% and 8.7% respectively.

Tourists (domestic and foreign) in tourist accommodation establishments possesing 10 or more bed places in April 2025.

In the first quarter of 2025, 8.0 million tourists were accommodated in tourist accommodation establishments, with 19.1 million overnight stays provided to them.
