Concerns tourist accommodation establishments with 10 or more bed places
In 2024, 38.8 million tourists were accommodated in tourist accommodation establishments, with 97.6 million overnight stays. Compared to 2023, it was more by 7.2% and 5.2%, respectively. The occupancy rate of bed places in all tourist accommodation establishments in 2024 amounted to 40.1% and was lower by 0.4 percentage point compared to 2023.
As of 31 July 2024, 10,354 tourist accommodation establishments were operating in Poland, 545 more (i.e. 5.6%) than in 2023. The largest increase in the number of establishments was recorded in rooms for guests/private lodgings (by 281), followed by other hotel establishments (by 105) and complexes of tourist cottages (by 61 establishments). Declines in the number of establishments were recorded in: holiday centres (by 14), other hotel establishments (by 7) and shelters (by 4).
