In 2024 blood donors amounted to 651.4 thousand, by 1.7% more than in previous year. They donated 1 548.4 thousand donations of blood and its components which is 47.0 thousand more than in 2023.

In the first quarter of 2025, the financial result of cultural institutions was 20.3% higher than a year earlier. Total revenues increased by 10.3% and total costs – by 9.2%. On the other hand, investment outlays were lower than a year before – by 5.9%.

As at the end of May 2025 the REGON register included 5 360.0 thous. of national economy entities. In May this year, the number of entities registered, as well as deregistered, was lower than the month before.

14,323 persons injured in accidents at work were reported in the first quarter of 2025 (7.2% persons fewer than in 2024). The number of injured persons per 1,000 employed persons (the incidence rate) decreased from 1.12 to 1.04.

In Poland, at the end of Quarter 1 2025, there were 11.0% more job vacancies than at the end of the previous quarter, and the job vacancy rate increased by 0.08 percentage points (pp) to 0.82%.

At the end of December 2024, the share of foreigners in the total number of persons performing work in Poland was 6.8%. Between January and December 2024, the number of foreigners performing work increased by 6.4%.

In the first quarter of 2025, there were 2 815 480 active enterprises in Poland. With regard to the kind of economic activity, the largest population were enterprises from section trade; repair of motor vehicles (17.7% of total). The largest number of active enterprises had their registered offices in Mazowieckie voivodship (19.9% of total).
