The expenditures on social protection benefits in Poland in 2022 developed according to the methodology of the European system of integrated social protection statistics (ESSPROS) amounted to 638.2 billion PLN. In comparison with 2021 the expenditures increased by 7.8%.

According to preliminary data, the population of pigs in June 2025 was 9 123.5 thousand heads showing a decrease of 0.1% compared to the analogical period last year. The reduction in numbers occurred in the pigs, from 20 kg to less than 50 kg and breeding pigs 50 kg and over.

Cattle population in June 2025 reached 6 147.2 thousand heads and was lower by 3.0% compared to June of last year. The decrease in the total number of cattle herd resulted from a decrease in the population of all heard age groups.

The summary presents historical data on internal migration for permanent residence in 1974-2024 for voivodships – according to the administrative division in force in a given year, i.e., in 1975-1998, 49 voivodeships, and in 1999-2023, 16 voivodeships. For 1998, data were presented for both voivodships, and for 1974, for 49 voivodships.

This dataset presents historical data on main directions of emigration from Poland and immigration to Poland for permanent residence in the years 1966-2024. Data illustrate so called migration flows and refer only to documented facts of emigration (deregistration from permanent residence in Poland due to departure abroad) and immigration (registration of persons arriving from abroad for permanent residence in Poland).

As at the end of August 2025 the REGON register included 5 397.5 thous. of national economy entities. In August this year, the number of entities newly registered was higher than the month before.

In the first half of 2025, cultural institutions recorded a 12.1% increase in total revenues and a 10.9% increase in total costs, compared to the same period of the previous year. At the same time, investment outlays decreased by 5.5%.

30.655 persons injured in accidents at work were reported in the first half of 2025 (0.7% persons more than in 2024). The incidence rate (the number of injured persons per 1,000 employed persons) increased from 2.21 to 2.23 per year.

On the last day of March 2025, there were 1 067.0 thousand foreigners performing work in Poland, i.e. 5.5% more than in March 2024. Compared with the previous month, their number increased by 0.9%.
