Consumer prices in December 2020, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 2,4% (with an increase of prices of services - by 6,4% and goods - by 0,9%).

Foreign trade turnover1 in the January – November period of 2020 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 960.8 bn, while in imports - PLN 909.8 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 51.0 bn, while in the same period of 2019 year amounted to PLN 5.6 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of 2019 exports increased by 1.5%, while imports decreased by 3.3%.

In October 2020, 1.4 million tourists were accommodated in tourist accommodation establishments and 3.7 million overnight stays were provided for them. Compared to October 2019, it was less by 54.4% and 46.8% respectively.

Prices of residential premises in the third quarter of 2020, compared to the second quarter of 2020, increased by 2.0% (of which on the primary market - by 2.2% and on the secondary market - by 2.0%).

Consumer prices according to the flash estimate in December 2020, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 2,3% (price index 102,3), and as related to the previous month increased by 0,1% (price index 100,1).

In December 2019, the number of employees in the national economy receiving gross wages and salaries not exceeding the statutory minimum wage and sala-ry amounted to around 1.5 million and in comparison with the corresponding period of the previous year increased by 1.4% (compared to a 3.7% decrease rec-orded in December 2018 in relation to the previous year).
