According to preliminary data in August 2020 the prices of sold production of industry decreased in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year by 1.2% and in comparison with July 2020 – by 0.3%.

In August 2020, average paid employment in enterprise sector was lower by 1.5% y/y and amounted to 6295.0 thousand, while average gross wages and salaries were higher by 4.1% y/y and amounted to 5337.65 PLN.

In June this year, 1.3 million tourists were accommodated in tourist accommodation establishments and 3.6 million overnight stays were provided for them. Compared to June 2019, this was lower by 63.6% and 61.1% respectively. A decrease in the number of tourists was also recorded in July 2020, compared to the corresponding month of the previous year; the number of persons accommodated was lower by about 34.7%, according to estimates.

The value of turnover of enterprises conducting activities related to business services amounted to PLN 395.4 billion. They employed almost 1.7 million people in over 531 thousand enterprises. Enterprises with the number of persons employed 9 and less constituted the most numerous group (97.5%) in terms of size.

As of 31 December 2019, dwelling stocks located on the territory of Poland amounted to 14.8 million of dwellings with the total useful floor area of 1,101.4 million m2, with 56.6 million rooms.

In Poland in 2019, consumption of gas from gas supply system per capita in urban areas increased by 4.1 kWh (by 0.3 %) and amounted to 1,557 kWh.

The price index of consumer goods and services in August 2020 as related to July 2020 amounted to 99.9 (price decrease of 0.1%).

Consumer prices in August 2020 compared with the corresponding month of the previous year increased by 2,9% (with an increase of prices of services – by 6,6% and goods – by 1,5%).
