Moreover, it presents the basic information concerning revenues, costs and financial results achieved, gross value of fixed assets and investment outlays incurred as well as the number of persons employed, employees, wages and salaries. Some data are presented including the actual location of activities of the entities (by local units).

In 2022, in Poland there were 103.4 thousand non-profit organizations, which affiliated 8,3 million members. They had 153.4 thousand full-time jobs, which accounted for 1.4% of the average employment in the national economy. In connection with the hostilities in Ukraine, the organizations provided assistance to 17.5 million people and transferred material and financial support worth PLN 1.6 billion.

These accounts are based on the neoclassical concept of economic growth decomposition initiated by Robert Solow and developed methodologically by Dale Jorgenson and associates.

Consumer prices in November 2023, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 6,6% (with an increase of prices of services – by 8,6% and goods – by 5,9%). As related to the previous month consumer prices incresed by 0,7% (of which goods – by 1,0%, with a decrease of prices of services – by 0,1%).

Statistics in focus Foreign trade turnover of goods in total and by countries in January-October 2023

Foreign trade turnover in January - October 2023 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 1 349.8 bn, while in imports - PLN 1 301.2 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 48.6 bn, while in the same period of 2022 year was negative and amounted to PLN 78.8 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of last year exports increased by 1.2%, while imports decreased by 7.9%.

Statistics in focus Financial results of cultural institutions in the period January-September 2023

The financial results of cultural institutions for the three quarters of 2023 were higher compared to those obtained in the same period of the previous year. Total revenues increased by 17.1% during this time, and capital expenditures by 20.5%.
