The quarterly data in manufacturing are available in January, April, July and October.
The data on investments in manufacturing and investments in construction are available in March and October.

Consumer tendency - May 2023

In May 2023, there was an improvement in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, syn-thetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was -29.9 which was by 2.3 p.p. higher in relation to last month.

Retail sales index - April 2023

In April 2023 retail sales at constant prices were by 7.3% lower than the year before (against an increase of 19.0% in April 2022).
Compared with March 2023 an increase by 0.1% in retail sales was recorded.

Occupancy of small tourist accommodation establishments in 2022

In 2022, tourist accommodation establishments with fewer than 10 beds accommodated 1.2 million tourists, with 3.9 million overnight stays provided for them. The occupancy rate of bed places in this type of establishments was 23.8%.

Index numbers of construction and assembly production in April 2023

According to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was in April 2023 by 1.2% higher than in the same period in 2022 (an increase of 9.0% in the corresponding period of 2022) and by 3,5% lower compared to March 2023 (a decrease of 6.1% in the corresponding period of 2022).

In the first four months of 2023, there were more dwellings completed than the year before. Whereas the number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project as well as dwellings in which construction has begun decreased.

According to preliminary data, in April 2023 the prices of construction and assembly production in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year in-creased by 11.3%, and in comparison with March 2023 by 0.7%.

Index numbers of sold production of industry in April 2023

In April 2023, sold production of industry was by 6.4% lower than in April 2022, when an increase was recorded by 12.4% as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, whereas in comparison with March 2023, it decreased by 14.8%. In the period January-April of 2023, sold production of industry was by 1.9% lower than in the corresponding period of 2022, which saw an increase by 14.9% as compared to the corresponding period of 2021.
