In Poland, in 2021, the number of economically active people aged 50 and over was 4 811 thousand. The number of economically inactive people at this age was 8 723 thousand. The employment rate and activity rate were higher among men.

Statistics in focus Maritime economy in Poland in 2022

Over the year, cargo traffic and the number of ship arrivals at Polish seaports increased. On the other hand the passenger traffic in seaports drecreased. The volume of international carriages of cargo by Polish operators decreased whereas the passenger carriages grew and passengers increased. As of the end of 2022, the number the maritime cargo-carrying fleet remained at the same level as in the previous year, whereas their total deadweight and gross tonnage increased as a result of re-classifications. The number of Polish marine fishing fleet increased by 1 vessel, the engine power grew by 0.1%, however the gross tonnage remained at the same level as in the previous year.

Statistics in focus First aid and emergency medical services in 2022

In 2022 emergency rescue teams provided health care benefits in the occurrence place to almost 3.1 million of persons. Almost 3.8 million of persons received health care benefits in hospital emergency wards or admission rooms under the outpatient treatment while more than 1.8 million of persons received health care benefits in hospital emergency wards under the inpatient treatment.

Statistics in focus Preliminary assessment of overwintering of crops in 2023

The field survey shows that winter crops overwintered well this year, with virtually no losses. The course of agrometeorological conditions during the winter was generally favorable for overwintering plants. The recorded drops in air temperature in the first and second decades of December (locally below -17°C at ground level) did not threaten the winter crops.
