In June 2023, the average paid employment in the enterprise sector compared with June 2022 was higher by 0.2% y/y and amounted to 6 512.8 thousand full-time equivalent employees. In comparison to the previous month the average paid employment slightly decreased by 0.1%.Average gross wages and salaries in the enterprise sector in June 2023 compared with June 2022 were higher by 11.9% y/y and amounted to PLN 7 335.20. Compared with May 2023 average gross wages and salaries increased by 2.1%.

In July 2023, there was an improvement in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, syn-thetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was -24.9 which was by 3.3 p.p. higher in relation to last month.

Increase in the number of persons practicing sports in sports clubs compared to 2020 was 10%.

Consumer prices in June 2023, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 11,5% (with an increase of prices of services – by 11,7% and goods – by 11,4%). As related to the previous month consumer prices remained at the same level (of which goods decreased – by 0,2% and the prices of services increased – by 0,6%).
