In January 2025 retail sales at constant prices were by 4.8% higher than the year before (against an increase of 3.2% in January 2024). Compared with December 2024, a decrease by 17.3% in retail sales was recorded.

Procurement prices of basic agricultural products decreased in January 2025 in comparison with the previous month (by 6.7%), while compared to the corresponding period of the last year increased (by 5.0%).

In January 2025, there were more dwellings completed than the year before, the number of dwellings in which construction has begun also increased. Whereas the number of dwellings for which permits have been granted decreased.

According to preliminary data construction and assembly production (in constant prices) carried out domestically by construction enterprises employing more than 9 persons was in January 2025 by 4.3% higher than in the same period of 2024 (a decrease of 6.2% in the corresponding period of 2024) and by 58.2% lower compared to December 2024 (a de-crease of 63.1% in the corresponding period of 2024).

According to preliminary data, in January 2025 the prices of construction and assembly production in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year increased by 3.6%, and in comparison with December 2024 they remained at a level similar to that recorded in the previous month.

In January 2025, sold production of industry was by 1.0% lower than in January 2024, when an increase was recorded by 2.9% as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, whereas in comparison with December 2024, it increased by 2.3%.
