In the period of January–September of 2014, with the slight improvement of the European economy, in Poland upward trends continued, though in certain areas a slight slowdown was observed in the 3rd quarter. The sold production of industry, despite the slowdown of the dynamics in July-September of 2014, grew in the period of the nine months in annual terms to a larger extent than in the previous year. The construction and assembly production was higher than recorded last year, when a severe decrease was registered. Retail sales increased at a faster rate than in January–September of the previous year, which was largely due to the significant dynamics in the 1st half of 2014.
