One of the measures reflecting the labour market situation is the wages and salaries of employees. In view of the growing information needs in this respect, we have introduced a new survey – the Survey on the Distribution of Wages and Salaries in the National Economy, which covers the whole population of employees receiving wages and salaries.
An advantage of the new survey is the possibility to present data on both the average wage and salary and the median wage and salary, taking into account sex and age of employees, entity size, PKD/NACE section as well as place of residence and place of the entity’s seat. The data presented in this study, like all data on wages and salaries published by Statistics Poland, are expressed in gross terms and are calculated per full-time equivalent employee.
