Distribution of wages and salaries in the national economy in July 2025

The news release (hereinafter: the Release) describes the results of the Survey on the Distribution of Wages and Salaries in the National Economy. This survey provides data on monthly gross wages and salaries in the national economy based on data from administrative registers (the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) and the Ministry of Finance).

Data for July 2025

Median monthly gross wage and salaryPLN 7 246.64

This means that half of the employees received a wage or salary not higher than this amount, and the other half received a wage or salary not lower than this amount.

Average monthly gross wage and salaryPLN 8 866.43

The average monthly gross wage and salary was 22.4% higher than the median wage and salary. This indicates a right-sided asymmetry in the distribution of wages and salaries in the national economy, which means that most employees received a wage or salary lower than the average wage and salary.
