According to the preliminary data, sold production of industry in constant prices (in enterprises employing more than 9 persons), in March of 2014, was by 5.4% higher than in the previous year and by 9.4% higher than in February of 2014. After eliminating the seasonal factors, sold production of industry reached the level higher by 5.7% than in the corresponding month of the previous year and higher by 0.2% than in February of 2014.

As compared to March of 2013, an increase in sold production was reported in 22 (out of 34) industry divisions, among others, in manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products – by 33.9%, manufacture of pharmaceutical products – by 21.5%, manufacture of furniture – by 21.3%, manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. – by 18.2%, manufacture of products of wood, cork, straw and wicker – by 16.4% and manufacture of rubber and plastics products – by 16.3%. A drop in sold production of industry, as compared to March of 2013, was recorded in 12 divisions, among others, in mining of coal and lignite – by 14.1%, manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products – by 11.3%, manufacture of beverages – by 9.2% and  electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply – by 7.3%.

In the period January-March of 2014, sold production of industry was by 4.8% higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year which saw a 2.0% decrease.
