Non-residential construction in the third quarter of 2018

In the I-III quarter of 2018 the number of new non-residential buildings completed increased compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and a decrease of their total useful floor area was recorded . The number of new non-residential buildings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project decreased however an increase of their useful floor area was recorded.

Housing Construction I-III quarter 2018

It describes dwellings completed by forms of construction (cooperative, company, municipal, individual, intended for sale or rental, and public building society), an average duration of construction of residential buildings, cubic volume of residential buildings completed, methods of erecting buildings, and buildings by the number of floors. The number of permits issued for the construction of dwellings and new residential buildings, the number of dwellings started, dwellings under construction, permits for the construction of new non-residential buildings and other construction facilities are also included.

Foreign trade turnover of goods in total and by countries in January-October 2018

Foreign trade turnover in January – October this year according to exports at current prices amounted to PLN 776.6 bn, while imports amounted to PLN 790.1 bn.

According to preliminary data in November 2018 in comparison to October 2018 the prices of sold production of industry decreased by 0.5%. The prices of construction and assembly pro-duction were higher by 0.4%.

In November of 2018, sold production of industry was by 4.7% higher than in November of 2017, whereas an increase by 17.1% was reported in construction-assembly production. Registered unemployment I–III quarter 2018

Retail sales November 2018

In November 2018 retail sales at constant prices were by 6.9% higher than the year before (against a growth of 8.8% in November 2017). Compared with October this year retail sales decreased by 2.8%.

KLEMS productivity accounts – Poland 2005–2016

The work on experimental statistics involves research on the implementation of the KLEMS productivity accounts in Poland. The decomposition of economic growth in the KLEMS accounts for Poland was done in the form of gross value added decomposition. The KLEMS accounts provide the basic macroeconomic information by PKD 2007 (NACE 2) groupings on the economy, and they are an important tool helping the economic growth researcher. The economic growth decomposition allows to determine its sources, and therefore indirectly interpret its causes. It can form a basis for numerous analyses and studies of economic growth and for international comparisons with other countries performing these accounts. The publication includes: KLEMS accounts methodology for the Polish economy and KLEMS tables for the Polish economy.

Contents of this year’s edition do not differ from the last one, only the way of presenting data by territorial division was changed following the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 31 December 2014 on the Nomenclature of Territorial Statistical Units (NTS). It is the first publication presenting the socio-economic situation of Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship taking into account new subregions introduced on 1 January 2015. Data according to the division in force till 31 December 2014 are available in the Local Data Bank. Alike in the previous edition, a set of statistical data is grouped into 16 thematic sections, preceded with general notes, presenting current results in as broad spatial terms as possible. Review tables in the beginning of the publication include major data on Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship.

The Statistical Office in Gdańsk is presenting Maritime economy in Pomorskie Voivodship in the years 2015-2017. It is a consecutive publication, issued in a three-year cycle, wholly dedicated to this subject. The volume consists of synthesis outlining the main features of maritime economy in Pomorskie Voivodship, statistical tables as well as general and methodological notes.
