In August of 2018, sold production of industry was by 5.0% higher than in August of 2017, whereas an increase of 20.0% was reported in construction-assembly production. In the period January-August of 2018, sold production of industry was by 6.6% higher than in the corresponding period of 2017 which saw a 6.2% increase, whereas construction-assembly production was by 20.6% higher than in the corresponding period of 2017 which saw a 12.5% increase.

Average monthly wage and salary in enterprise sector excluding payments from profit in August 2018 was PLN 4798,03

In the period of first eight months of 2018 there were more dwellings completed than the year before. The number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project and the number of dwellings in which construction has begun also increased.

In August 2018, average paid employment in enterprise sector was higher by 3.4% y/y and amounted to 6229.1 thousand, and average gross wages and salaries were higher by 6.8% y/y and amounted to 4798.27 zl.

The value of turnover of enterprises conducting activities related to business services amounted to PLN 308.8 billion. In comparison to the previous year, the increase in turnover with the simultaneous growth in the number of enterprises and persons employed were observed.

As of the end of 2017 14.4 mln dwellings was noticed (increase by 1.2% compared to the end of 2016) with the total useful floor area of 1 068.6 thous m2 and the number of rooms of 55.2 mln.

In Poland in 2017 was noticed an increase of amount of municipal waste generated by 2.7% in comparison to the previous year.

Price indexes of consumer goods and services for August 2018 was 100.0 (prices remained on the same level).

Consumer prices in August 2018, remained on average at a level similar to the one recorded in the previous month (with an increase of prices of services – by 0,5% and a decrease of prices of goods – by 0,3%). Compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, consumer prices increased by 2,0% (of which goods – by 2,1% and services – by 1,8%).
