Foreign trade turnover in January - March 2022 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 361.5 bn, while in imports - PLN 391.5 bn. The negative balance reached the level of PLN 30.0 bn, while in the same period of 2021 year was positive and amounted to PLN 10.2 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of 2021 exports increased by 18.0%, while imports by 32.3%.

According to the flash estimate, gross domestic product (GDP) in volume terms seasonally unadjusted was higher by 8.5% in the 1st quarter of 2022 year-to-year against 0.6% decrease in the corresponding period of 2021.

In the period from 1.10.2020 to 30.09.2021, 38.8% of Poles (36.7% of females and 41.0% of males) participated in sports or recreational activities. They undertook physical activity mainly for pleasure and entertainment. The most frequent form of sport and recreational activities was cycling. The average cost incurred by a household for sport and recreational activities amounted to PLN 870, including the purchase of sports equipment – PLN 154.

In 2020 the total amount of sold art and antiques amounted to PLN 591.2 million and increased by PLN 172.8 million in comparison to 2020. The largest part of the total value of sales of works of art and antiques was obtained by entities through organisation of traditional auctions – PLN 381.9 million, an increase by 43.2% in comparison to 2020.

Consumer prices in April 2022, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 12,4% (with an increase of prices of goods – by 13,1% and services – by 10,1%). As related to the previous month consumer prices increased by 2,0% (of which goods – by 2,3% and services – by 1,2%).

Gross domestic product in 2021, according to first estimate was PLN 2622,2 mld (american: billion).

Annual indexation rate* was 107.07 (increase by 7.07%).
