In 2020, 17.9 million tourists were accommodated in tourist accommodation establishments, with 51.4 million overnight stays. Compared to 2019, it was less by 49.9% and 45.0%, respectively.

The overall net financial result of insurance companies (net profit) in 2020 was less favorable than a year ago and amounted to PLN 6.1 billion. Worse results were obtained by both life insurance companies (division I) and non-life companies (division II).

According to the EDP notification, in 2020 the general government deficit was 6,9% of GDP, while the general government debt amounted to 57,5 % of GDP.

According to the preliminary results of the Agricultural Census 2020, the total number of farms was approx. 1.3 million, which indicates a decrease of nearly 13% com-pared to data from the Agricultural Census 2010.

At the end of 2019, 1 848 enterprises in Poland (a decrease as compared to 2018 by 0.6%) declared involvement in 3 979 foreign entities (an increase by 3.4% comparing to 2018) in the form of shares, branches or other forms.

Consumer prices according to the flash estimate in March 2021, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 3,2% (price index 103,2), and as related to the previous month increased by 1,0% (price index 101,0).

62,740 persons injured in accidents at work were reported in 2020, by 24.6% fewer than in 2019. The number of injured persons per 1,000 employed persons (the incidence rate) also decreased from 6.15 to 4.62 respectively. Fatal accident victims accounted for 0.3% of all persons injured (0.1 percentage point more than in 2019). However, both the number of persons injured in serious accidents and in accidents with other effects decreased (by 4.9% and 24.7% respectively).
