In April the assessments of general business climate indicator in all of presented kinds of activities are at a higher level as compared to the ones presented in March this year. In all areas, except for retail trade, it is below the long-term mean . In majority of the areas, the level of "diagnostic" components is similar as in March, while all the "prognostic" ones improve.

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the labour cost index increased by 0.2% compared to the third quarter of the same year, and compared to the fourth quarter of 2021, it increased by 11.6%.

According to the final estimate gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021 increased by 6.9% year-on-year comparison against 6.8% previously published. In 2022 GDP increased by 5.1% against 4.9% previously released.

In April 2023, there was an improvement in both current and future consumer sentiment moods compared to the previous month. The current consumer confidence indicator, syn-thetically describing the current trends in individual consumption, was -32.2 which was by 3.4 p.p. higher in relation to last month.

Total growth of gross domestic product at constant prices for 2017-2022 was 128.1.

Consumer prices in March 2023, compared with the corresponding month of the previ-ous year, increased by 16,1% (with an increase of prices of goods – by 17,1% and services – by 13,3%). As related to the previous month consumer prices increased by 1,1% (of which goods – by 1,2% and services – by 0,8%).
